J. Patrick Gorman

Patrick is well-known for his work in high technology companies at their earliest stages (seed to Series A). His placements are the key functional hires including co-founders, members of technical engineering staff, accounting and financial executives.

Founder of executive recruiting firms in New York City and São Paulo, he has extensive relationships in the Venture Capital and Private Equity communities. His views on the labor market have been published in The Wall Street Journal and Institutional Investor, and he has lectured at Wharton MBA and NYU.

He is the published author of "Recruit the Remarkable – A First-Time Founder's Guide to Hiring Exceptional People" and an active angel investor.

Prior to recruiting, he worked for Arthur Andersen in Silicon Valley and Chicago, passed the United States CPA exam, and graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame, where he competed on the Track and Cross Country teams. A proud Chicago native, he is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and holds permanent residency in both the United States and Brazil.
